Many 2018 models have arrived on the auto market by now, and manufacturers are already setting their eyes on 2019. The upcoming redesigned Ram 1500 is one such model that’s garnering interest; the truck is poised to electrify the 2018 North American International Auto Show with an official debut that will excite truck enthusiasts for the 2019 model year’s upgrades, features, and specs.
We already know a few things about the upcoming Ram 1500. An increased wheelbase means more room for cargo and passengers inside the cabin, while a new grille and hood design offer the Ram 1500 a more modern vibe. Additionally, the exterior lights support LED bulbs now. Some major upgrades include the first-ever split tailgate on a pickup truck and three different capable powertrain options, plus a rumored mild-hybrid system.
Inside the cabin, the Ram 1500 will be taking cues from the Pacifica minivan, updating its interior for a contemporary look and adding a full-color, full-length touchscreen for interacting with the latest Uconnect infotainment system.
Keep an eye out for the upcoming Ram 1500, preparing for its debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
